About Axeiom
Established in 2021, Axeiom is a family-owned axe throwing company that prioritizes diversity and inclusion.
Axeiom’s foundation stands on three central pillars: safety, inclusion and creating a beautiful space where you can hang-out and throw sharp objects. We want your visit to be an experience that embodies these beliefs! A coach will take whatever time it takes to make sure you and your party feel comfortable and safe in our venue.
Axeiom was created to be an ethical workspace. Our company infrastructure is grounded in a profit-sharing model that starts everyone at the same pay-rate, including the owners. Full benefits, paid-leave and the option to buy stock are baked into our business plan. 10% of profits (after taxes), go back into community non-profits with a specific focus on diversity, women’s rights and financial equality.
We needed to be a space that enriched people’s lives and gave them an excuse to celebrate themselves and others.

Axeiom is a family run start-up, and CARLY & WALTER JOHNSTONE are the “people in charge.” They are a husband-and-wife team, but everyone in the Axeiom family has helped and continues to be a part of Axeiom’s success.
“Like many, the pandemic made us re-evalutate the What-If dreams most of us have, but don’t invest in. Would it would be too risky? How would we even start? What if it fails? The last few years created a pause in which we wondered, why not? What if it could work? We decided to risk what we saved and gamble on our dreams.
We chose axe throwing because we wanted to start a business that was fun, and provided for both our family and the community. Part of our mission is to create a safe, highly-inclusive, and joyful space for you to throw sharp weapons and celebrate life.”
